Our second night was rough.
You know the statement, “don’t wake a sleeping bear”? Yeah - well, I accidentally did. I wasn’t sure if Tristan’s diaper was full or if he had pooped and I tried to change it… In the middle of the night.
Dumbest mistake ever.
It took all of us a long while to get back to sleep after an angry toddler shared his two cents about me checking his diaper. And not to mention, he was sooooooo sick when we received him. Still breaks my heart to this day.
But thankfully, we all recovered and little man woke up as happy as a clam!
The day was filled with sightseeing around Shanghai. We went to The Bund, which is the former Shanghai International Settlement. Then we went to old Shanghai, which I wish we had spent the whole day.
There were also photo shoots happening EVERYWHERE I turned. It was pretty fun to see!
Old Shanghai was my favorite place of the day. It was so rich with history, and as I mentioned above, I wish we had had the opportunity to have stayed here longer. Every nook and every cranny had something amazing to see.
I took over 1500 photos on this trip… and I still don’t feel like I took enough…
Tonight would be our last night in Shanghai. The next day we would tour our children’s orphanage before catching our flight to Guangzhou, where we would meet back up with the other families, and finalize our adoption with the U.S. Consulate.
