Gather Together

Yesterday I spent the day with a room of women listening to 7 speakers who encouraged, challenged, and deepened our knowledge of Scripture. And IT - WAS - AWESOME! The content was great, but what was even better was the fellowship and the gathering of Believers. [TOGETHER.]

When we come together with our hearts centered on Scripture and Christ we sharpen one another. We refine on another. This does not happen alone. Why? Because we were created for community. Created to fellowship with one another. Created and used by the Holy Spirit to help guide and direct our thoughts to be centered and focused on Him. It is too easy to hear something or see something that “sounds good” but in reality is toxic. When we gather around the Word of God, those thoughts and ideas are put to the test. And when they do not match up with God’s Word, those around us are able to point us back to Truth.

"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Provers 27:17

Gathering, whether in small groups or larger groups is so critical. It's not just critical, it's Biblical.

This fall I want to invite you to gather with some friends, open your Bibles, and begin reading scripture together. Want to do a Bible Study together but not sure what good resources are out there?
