CHANGE begins with the HEART
We cannot ignore that our world is desperately hurting, that our nation is crying out in pain, that our cities are desperate for healing. It is time for a supernatural change. One that transforms from the inside out.
Change begins on our knees. It starts from within. It starts with a changed heart FOR God BY God. Giving us a heart for Him to have eyes for His Creation. Seeing others in His image. Loving God. Loving People.
But it starts with each of us, individually.
What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Or do you think Scripture says without reason that he jealously longs for the spirit he has caused to dwell in us? But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. - James 4:1-10
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. -2 Chronicles - 7:14

Ending brokenness, racism, hatred, maliciousness, loneliness, hurting, sexual immorality, anger, bitterness, murder... this list goes on and on, begins with a changed heart for God. THIS is where true change begins. When we love God, we love people and truly see that we are ALL image bearers of the One who created us. But the only way this happens is when we live the Great Commission. It begins when we share WHY and HOW Jesus changes our lives. It starts with us sharing the GOOD NEWS to a massively hurting and broken world. HE came to heal the brokenhearted and restore all things to Himself. If we don’t share that Good NEWS our words are useless.
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on Me,
because the LORD has anointed Me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives
and freedom to the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor
and the day of our God’s vengeance,
to comfort all who mourn,
to console the mourners in Zion—
to give them a crown of beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning,
and a garment of praise for a spirit of despair.
So they will be called oaks of righteousness,
the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.
